Our Plant Reproductive Biology Group started a new collaboration with the innovative company: "ACER CAMPESTRES S.L." from Castillo de Locubín (Jaén, Spain). The Research Project is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitivity (MINECO), along the RETOS-COLABORACION programe. Such program is co-funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) of the European Union.

This project, entitled: "Obtention and characterization of proteins and enzymes of industrial interest from pulp of de-stoned and desiccated olives" is devoted to identify valuable protein components, particularly enzymes in this food material developed by the company. Such material has potential multiple uses in the food industry.
